The word pharmacology is derrived from Greek word 'pharmacon' and 'logos'.
Pharmacon means drugs, and Logos means atudy or knowledge.Pharmacology is a brance of medical science which deals with the study of pharmacognosy,pharmaceutics,parmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs.
Or, Pharmacology is a branch of medical science that includes the knowlesge of history, source, physical & chemical properties, dosage forms, route of administration,absorption,distribution mwchanism of action, pharmacological effects,biotransformation,excretion,clinical uses and adverse effects of drugs.
